What we collect
- When you place an order: your name, phone number, email address, and, if you choose delivery, your delivery address. Your payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored by Chaat House or Wuntab.
- When you send us a message through the contact or catering forms: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write, including event details for catering requests.
- When you apply for a job: your name, email address, phone number, your comments, and, if you attach one, your resume.
- Automatically: standard technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address, device type, and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the site working, to prevent abuse, and to understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
To prepare and deliver your order, to answer your messages, to consider your job application, to send you order updates, to keep the site secure, and to meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
- Our payment processor, to charge your card. They handle your card details under their own privacy terms.
- Wuntab, which hosts this website and stores the information above on our behalf.
- Anyone we are legally required to share it with, such as in response to a lawful request.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and dispute purposes. Messages from the contact and catering forms are kept until we have handled them and for a reasonable period afterward. Resumes are automatically deleted 90 days after they are submitted; the rest of your application is kept in case a position opens.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any records we are required to keep. To do so, write to us at the address below. Where the law of your state gives you additional rights, those rights apply.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including restricting who can see it and encrypting it in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
